GRID OPERATION

Always keep an eye on the current status of your grid

With retoflow, you can easily link your grid planning model with the collected measurement data - and thus keep an eye on the utilization of the entire grid area thanks to an efficient grid status estimate.

DIGITAL TWIN

Link measurement data and grid data

Measurement data recorded in your grid can be synchronized live in the computable retoflow grid model.

Only this linking of measurement data and grid data in an online system creates a true digital twin of your distribution grid, which makes the current utilization of the grid traceable and transparent at all times.

MEASUREMENT DATA ANALYSIS

Analyze historical measurement data easily

In addition to the live data, the historical measurement time series can also be viewed at any time in retoflow with geographical and temporal resolution.

By looking back at the course of grid utilization, you gain a holistic insight into the load on your grids over a longer period of time. This enables a seamless transition from grid operation to grid planning.

STATE ESTIMATION

Monitor the entire grid with just a few measuring points

retoflow State Estimation also estimates the utilization of unmeasured lines or the voltage at the end of an outgoing circuit.

The more measuring points are installed in the grid, the more accurate your estimate will be - but even with just a few measurements, retoflow can provide a sufficiently accurate grid state estimate thanks to innovative algorithms.

BOTLLENECK MANAGEMENT

Bottleneck management according to §14a EnWG

With retoflow, you can not only detect bottlenecks in the low voltage, but also eliminate it by controlling controllable loads in accordance with §14a EnWG.

If a bottleneck is detected, retoflow automatically identifies the controllable loads that are causing the bottleneck. The power that needs to be dimmed to eliminate the bottleneck is then calculated individually for each system. In this way, secure grid operation can be guaranteed at all times in compliance with §14a EnWG.

Frequently asked questions

Which kind of measurement data can be integrated?

The more data, the more accurately the status estimate can determine the grid status. That is why we integrate all available measurements:

  • Voltage measurements on busbars
  • Current and power measurements on outgoing feeders
  • Current and power measurements on transformers
  • RLM data
  • Smart meter measurement data (TAF9 / TAF10)
From which sources can measurement data be connected?

We integrate the measurement data where it arrives in your system, be it in a central data lake or directly at the measurement technology manufacturer.

If you do not yet have any or sufficient measurement technology in the field, we can also offer complete systems comprising hardware and software together with our partner BentoNet.
