With retoflow, you can create a uniform digital image of your entire grid area. Thanks to integrated modeling across all voltage levels, you can keep a close eye on the voltage band and avoid duplicate data storage.

With the retoflow grid filter, you can simply select the exact grid area you want to view. retoflow automatically aggregates underlying grid areas and dynamically creates the necessary equivalent loads.

The correct mapping of simultaneities is the greatest challenge in the simulation of distribution grids. This is why retoflow automatically creates the relevant worst-case scenarios, individually for each supply area and each outgoing circuit.

Depending on the data situation, this can be time series-based from SLP and RLM profiles or performance-based on the basis of simultaneity functions.

Frequently asked questions

I don't yet have a digital image of my low and/or medium-voltage grid that is capable of computing. How does the introduction to retoflow work?

We create a computable grid model for you directly from the existing source systems. 
In most cases, this is the geographic information system (GIS) for the network topology and the billing system for the dimensioning of loads and generators.

Other data sources such as the asset system, grid connection portal and metering database can also be linked to the digital twin of retoflow, depending on the application.

I already use a classic grid calculation program. Can I also link this with retoflow?

Yes, it is possible to transfer grid models from programs such as PowerFactory, SINCAL or NEPLAN.


However, you will only benefit from all the advantages of the digital twin if changes in the source systems can be transferred automatically. In most cases, a direct connection to the source systems is the best way to do this. We will be happy to analyze your current situation with you and evaluate the best solution.

Are there minimum requirements for data quality in the source systems?

On the contrary: retoflow helps you to gain an overview of data gaps and eliminate inconsistencies.

Statistics on data quality provide an overall view of data quality and data checks provide specific indications of elements with incorrect modeling. This allows you to target the elimination of data errors in the source systems.
